Designing Smaller Spaces With Holloween Themed Carpeting And Additional Items

Halloween only comes once a year and a lot of folks enjoy decorating their houses for the occasion. With such a small space though, what can you possibly do to liven things up? decorating options are somewhat limited, and the space can easily become cluttered even after just adding a number of pieces. It takes just a handful of smart and realistic choices to get through this dilemma though, and pretty soon you will be in the Halloween spirit answering the door for trick-or-treaters or even hosting your own Halloween theme party.

Purchase your black ninja costumes and pirate girl costume for your party. Do not forget to} select mom and dad french maid costume, disco costumes.

It goes without saying do not forget about the easter and christmas costumes you may be dressed in for the children: bunny costumes and santa suits.

The best purchases are those that serve dual or practical purposes. Start with Halloween dishes and bath towels as these take absolutely no extra space compared to the regular items they will be replacing. You could get them in shades of black or orange if there are not any specifically Halloween-themed dishes and just arrange them on the table. Remember to pair them with matching table dressing. Bringing the Halloween spirit to your small space can be as simple as placing orange dishware on a black table cloth. Put up orange decorative lights as window dressing, similar to what you would usually find on Christmas, just something that comes in orange or an orange-yellow combination. More window dressing can be added by getting fake spider web which you could also hang in one or two corners of the room that you are redecorating. If your walls aren’t already painted in an orange hue, you could get Halloween-themed decals or wall stickers that can stick on your walls, or front windows (decals only). Place the decals on front windows facing inward for everyone on the inside to enjoy them, particularly if you are not on ground level. If you live on the ground floor though, you can place them facing outward and make them easily visible to anyone passing by. The final touch can be completed with a great welcome rug. From any department store you can ideally get holloween themed carpets during the season, but if you have carpeting then a bath mat will probably have to do.

You could stick to decorating just one or two walls to avoid a cluttered appearance while keeping the other walls in a similar hue to complete the Halloween theme. Just replace what you are already using with Halloween themed items to avoid taking up too much space and stay away from larger items. If you find decorating to be too much then try to incorporate blacks and orange all through your space so you could still get into the Halloween spirit.
